birds of the bay.

There is a clamour of water birds.

Blue herons & sandhill hill cranes scan the coastline & marshes for their next meal.

Wild ducks & cormorants dive into the deep of the Chesapeake bay,

Saying hello to the blue crabs and sturgeons that inhabit the brackish waters.

Turkey vultures circle their next meal as the crows wait patiently for their turn.

Eastern bluebirds, what a delight!

Swans swim in circles around my heart,

As the snow geese migrate they fill the sky.

The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
